THE NAKED BODY
In 1993 i approached the image of the nude and liberated it
from all it's political, cultural, religious and sexual power,
valuating the status in which the male and female was
celebrated in Western Art at this point.
As a painter i resisted any technical assistance e.g.
computer, to construct and produce these paintings.

by blowing up the image, but still preserving its

and method of painting.
I scrutinized the understanding of the fine
balance between the power sex has on art
and the power art has on sex.
Is the nude less naked or sexual, when exhibited in places
designated to art ?
Is it still the greatest victim of censorship ?
The increasing need and demand in a "clearer picture" led
me to deliberately reverse the process of observation,
by imposing the viewer to gain distance from the image,
